Attention! Organizers wanted! Now! Have you seen the British show, “How Clean is Your House?”, with Kim and Aggie? I think it should be a comedy, but I digress…it seems that they find a never-ending supply of dirty and disgusting houses. This happens to be good news for you–why? Because, while we all like to have clean homes, many of us would rather someone else clean it for us. If you like cleaning houses, and are really good at it, you can get paid to clean houses for others.
If you have read my book, “How to Budget without a Salary“, then you know that you need to price yourself somewhere in the middle of what your market will bear. For house cleaners, the middle of the road would be about $12 per hour, upwards to over $20 an hour. Setting your own rate would be if you were to work for yourself…it is different if you were to work with a house cleaning service, such as Merry Maids. But then, this would a job and not a casual income method. Of course, if you want a very steady income/salary, and you like cleaning houses, then working with a service would be the way to go.
Whichever way you go, if you like cleaning, this is the casual income method for you!
See my book, “How to Budget without a Salary” for more casual income ideas.
